June 26 - 27, 2018: Kyuker makes its debut at EmTech Hong Kong, MIT Technology Review’s flagship technology conference at Hong Kong Cyberport. Within the event, Kyuker will host an Active Lifestyle and Health Hacking Innovation Summit, that brings together leading global academics, world renowned athletes and hackers, as well as top executives of sport tech brands, social impact experts and innovation consultants. Over two days, Kyuker will host several events at and around EmTech Hong Kong, featuring a disruptor session, a panel and a roundtable discussion on active lifestyle capacity building and talent training in Hong Kong and China’s Greater Bay area.
The June 26th disruptor session at EmTech Hong Kong aims to introduce and educate the audience on the definition of an active lifestyle, and its empowerment by AI, big data and wearable technologies. This will provide a platform for experts and entrepreneurs to create and deliver innovative technologies that enable active lifestyles, and discuss best practices and cross border collaborative approaches between Hong Kong, Shenzhen and beyond. Co-organized with leading smart clothing partner AIQ, the session features the following recognised personalities:
- Zhang Lin, China’s first world swimming champion, will share his experience and perspectives on how technology could support a more enjoyable and safer pursuit of swimming for both athletes and amateur swimmers.
- Professor Yuji Ohgi, of Japan’s Keio University, who invented several wearable devices for sports and advises major sport labels, will demystify new technology applications.
- Catalin Voss, a quintessential Silicon Valley hacker who invented Google Autism glass, is a young, passionate and driven disruptive entrepreneur, who will share his thoughts and inventions in AI.
- Steve Huang, founder of King Metal Fibers/AIQ, will offer industry perspectives on sports wearables as the next wave in sports and wellness attire.
- Marcus Ranney, country manager of Thrive Global India, will share his perspective on the social impact and positive dissemination of hackathons as a fast innovation platform in Asia.
- Albert Lam, partner at PWC China.
The second day of the summit (June 27th) involves a roundtable discussion for invited participants representing industry, academia and other stakeholders. It will provide them with first-hand experience of the Kyuker way of innovation in the active lifestyle and healthcare area. Roundtable members will also be part of a unique innovation community that will shape future innovation events.
“We are very excited to be working with EmTech Hong Kong and AIQ as co-hosts and partners in the disruptive wearables tech show and hackathon” says Andrew T. Leung, CEO and Founder of Kyuker.
